November Haiku

the mind is silent
sun slants into afternoon
the air, almost warm

bare branches tracing
against a cloudless, pale sky
sun sets them glowing

  1. “the air, almost warm” I like that optimism. I see fall as a downfall and loss of warmth, it’s dreadful for me. Good Haikus.

    1. Thanks for your feedback. It’s a dreadful time for me, too. But when I stop and actually pay attention to what’s happening in the moment — like today’s 67-degree-Fahrenheit-weather — I sometimes discover that it’s different than the story playing in my head.
